Question of the Month: Mapping Single Property Websites

by Robin Morgan on April 29, 2008

Question:

I have a home that is in an undeveloped area, it does not map correctly on the site I created for it on my AgencyLogic PowerSite. Can I move the home’s location on the map?

Answer:

The AgencyLogic PowerSite system allows you to select a mapping provider, as some maps do a better job in different areas. Our system allows you to choose from Google, MapQuest, Microsoft and Yahoo mapping services.

You can select a mapping provider while in your account by going to the “Edit PowerSite” tab and then selecting: “Mapping and Email Settings.”

You can also use a custom mapping link for your single property Website. To do this, go to a mapping website such as http://maps.google.com. Find the appropriate location using the search and navigation tools within the mapping Website. Once you have located the appropriate map view, copy the web address (URL) for the map. Log into AgencyLogic and select Mapping and Email Settings from the Edit PowerSite menu for the PowerSite you wish to change. Change the mapping option to “Use Custom” and paste the web address (URL) into the Value field. Don’t forget to press the Save button to save your changes.
