One comment I heard several times at RE Barcamp San Diego last week was “expect people to stop referring to social media, it’s just going to be ‘media’”. Jim Marks was the first person to say it, several others repeated the sentiment during the day.
The following video is the best example I have seen of someone creating media from anywhere. Frank Borges LLosa of FranklyRealty ‘describes video techniques and equipment’ recommending one particular video camera for real estate professionals. And he does it while getting gas. My immediate thoughts are:
1. If this guy is ever in front of me at the gas pump the video is going to have way more action
2. The video on the steering wheel is great, until he starts to drive, things then start to feel like a roller coaster ride. Some people will love that but for people like me, who feel sick on the Mad Tea Party ride at Disney, it’s not so great.

Ignoring these two things I love the simplistically of what is ultimately a training video. If Frank can create good content at the gas pump how easily can you create a video about your brokerage or listing? Enjoy

Next time a guy tells me he can “Only do one thing at a time” I’ll know to be skeptical! Thanks for giving me info for which video camera to buy and the fresh motivation to give my listings another edge!

I have over 70 videos on my blog and I do a video of each of my listings and syndicate them everywhere including the Multiple Listing Service of Long Island (unbranded version).
I also put my videos on twitter, youtube, and many other portals and websites. Sellers are impressed and buyers by viewing screen themselves out of coming to a property not suitable to their needs/budgets. Saves everyone wasted time. My videos are not professional but I’m not looking for an academy award but rather an “A” or “B” in selling the property faster.
John, please let us know the URL(s). I’d love to see your work and I’m sure other readers would too.
