I love Frances Flynn Thorsen. There, I said it! The love affair, one she is completely ignorant to (until now of course) started a few years ago at an Inman conference in New York City.
It was January 2008 and Frances was on a panel discussing “Blogging: A Fresh Take on Client Prospecting”. There were several questions from the floor and one was something like ‘which blog post generated the most traffic?’ To everyones shock and amusement Frances spoke about her post “Plus Size Blogger’s Boobs Invite Terror Threat Mishap“. Someone followed up with ‘Is there a post you want to write but haven’t yet?’ I can’t put Frances’ response here but it was even more shocking and absolutely hilarious; I fell in love immediately! If you are ever lucky enough to meet her I’m sure she’ll happily explain
And so to my point. You can benefit from the world as Frances sees it right here, right now. During the recent Virtual RE Barcamp she ran two very important sessions about managing social media risk. With so much bad advice in the dark world of “social media” (queue scary music…) it’s refreshing to listen to some good old fashioned common sense. Here is the first session, enjoy:

I love you, too, Steven. I think it’s about time I wrote that blog post, “Is there a post you want to write but haven’t yet?” Sounds like a good Thanksgiving Weekend project, especially this weekend.
I bury my Dad in NJ Saturday morning. He was a brilliant writer, mentor, teacher, and my first editor. He was an irreverent kind of guy with a keen Irish wit. I will ask him for help and guidance and publish that blog piece once and for all! Watch for the link!
Thank you very much for your kind words … have a wonderful and joyful Thanksgiving holiday. XOXOXOX
Hi Frances
I’m saddened to hear about your father’s passing
I lost my own father four years ago and still draw on him for inspiration and an example of how I should live my own life. I will be thinking about you on Saturday.
Steve
Frances,
Enjoyed your post very much. Excellent, timely information nicely delivered! Sorry to hear about the loss of your father, and yes, he will be watching over and guiding you. You and Marcie must make a great team! You go, girl!
I can completely relate to that LOVE for Frances. When I met her, it was instantaneous, I am, since then, magnetized by her nature, her knowdledge, her strong intengrity and that spark of fresh energy that she exudes. Great blog Stephen!
