On several occasions I have spoken to our clients and they have commented about using ‘the’ browser. When I explain there are several browsers they seem confused. Microsoft’s Internet Explorer (the most recent version is 8 ) is the most commonly used browser but there is also Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari and Opera.
Google recently joined the fray with their Chrome browser. I use it alongside IE (Internet Explorer) and find it quick and simple to use. Here is a video from Google explaining the background behind the creation of Chrome. The browser can be downloaded from the Google Website.

I’ve been using Chrome for about 6 months now and LOVE it …. BUT -
it doesn’t “support” some web sites or widgets I use, so -
(a) Chrome for FAST casual browsing -
(b) Firefox w/add-ons for more Business oriented browsing (where I may need to bookmark to Google Bookmarks, which, ironically, Google Chrome doesn’t support…yet).
(c) IE – only, and I repeat, ONLY for the programs that I HAVE to use it on. Fortunately, my MLS will add Firefox after the first of the year, so that’s one less primary program that uses IE!!!
