NAWRB’s involvement with the LPS Default Servicing Conference encourages industry to re-examine upcoming legislation.
Aug 23, 2010 (PRLog) Denver, Colorado – The National Association of Women REO Brokerages (NAWRB), the preeminent organization representing women owned businesses in the Distressed Services Industry, continued its success at the forefront of policy changes at the Lender Processing Services (LPS) Default Servicing Conference 2010. This invitation-only event, hosted in Denver, Colorado, provided a distinct opportunity for NAWRB’s nationwide membership to develop direct communication with several of the industry’s leading companies.
On the conferences show floor, NAWRB representatives educated the nearly 1,600 attendees on one important, and often overlooked provision of the recently passed Dodd-Frank Financial Reform Bill. Section 342, establishing Offices of Minority and Women Inclusion (OMWI) at many government agencies, underlines the necessity for women business owners to organize on a national scale to take advantage of this new government mandate. Through the hosting of a conference booth, NAWRB representatives worked to help disseminate information on key certifications companies must undergo in preparation for the implementation of this unprecedented bill.
NAWRB’s membership foundation affords the organization a distinct and definitive voice as a representative of women owned business from across the Distressed Services Industry. Through conferences and events, NAWRB represents the interests of women owned businesses to industry leaders and decision-makers.
