How To Back Up Your Facebook Account

by Stephen M. Fells on August 25, 2010

Stephen M. FellsA friend recently had his Facebook account revoked which left me wondering how much I would lose if the same thing happened to me. I could certainly establish friend connections again and I have local copies of most photos but what about photo’s uploaded from my mobile? And what about the business pages I am sole admin for? It really would be a problem, not insurmountable, but still a problem.

One partial solution is Social Safe, a tool that backs up your Facebook account. The following video provides an overview:

Stephen, there may be people that believe that 2 pounds is $500 which of course, it’s not. Want to know, google a pound to dollar conversion. Today it’s $3.11 …but the conversion rate does fluctuate.

My question is, how can one check out the credentials of this company?

Hi Dava,

Their Website shows a price of $2.99 (this is US dollars) which is such a low amount I wouldn’t mind spending it even if the end service doesn’t live up to expectations.

I did some research however. The Website says the product “is a joint venture between iBundle and 1minus1″ who are UK based tech companies (http://ibundle.co.uk and http://www.1minus1.com). I telephoned 1minus1 and spoke to someone who wasn’t particularly helpful. I asked questions and the response was “that’s on our Website”. While true, the individual was particularly arrogant.

He did give me the telephone number for iBundle who were far more friendly. The $2.99 is a one time charge, that’s it, no recurring or monthly fees. So if you ignore the pompous English attitude from the 1minus1 staff I think it’s worth buying.
