Comedian Jeff Foxworthy Selling His Custom-Built Georgia Mansion for $3M

The comedian and his wife spent three years constructing the massive mansion in an Atlanta suburb. Now empty nesters, they’re listing it for $2.99 million.

The comedian Jeff Foxworthy is selling his massive mansion for $2.99 million, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. According to the AJC, Foxworthy and his wife, Pamela Gregg, have downsized to a smaller home nearby and are ready to turn their long-time retreat over to the next owner. The couple purchased the land in Alpharetta, GA, in 1997, and proceeded to take on a three-year project to construct their dream house. The riverside estate, located on a quiet cul-de-sac in Country Club of the South, was designed by Budd Holden, the Los Angeles architect to the stars. The end result is a “magnificent home built to perfection and detailed with hidden gems throughout,” according to the listing description.

The mansion was completed in 2001, and its layout measures over 14,600 square feet, with five bedrooms and nine bathrooms. Enter through a grand entry and covered terrace into the main level. The living space looks out to the pool from floor-to-ceiling windows, and has cherry hardwood flooring. A formal dining room features natural light with walls of glass. The chef’s kitchen contains top-of-the-line appliances and a brick-arched butler’s pantry. The kitchen opens out onto a two-story family room.

The fireside master suite includes an exclusive staircase down to the office. Its spa bathroom features a breakfast bar, steam shower, and dual closets. Upstairs, three more en suite bedrooms include workspaces and private balconies. The terrace level can be accessed by elevator and comes with a full kitchen, plus family, media, and craft rooms. In addition, separate guest quarters include a patio and water garden. The office where Foxworthy crafted many of his trademark jokes features heart-of-pine floors and cabinets. A game room and bathroom complete the office space. Outside, the upscale amenities include a pool, waterfall, and a cabana with a kitchen, grill, and full bathroom. A garage with four spaces completes the property.

The stand-up comedian, actor, and author is a member of the “Blue Collar Comedy Tour.” He’s best-known for his zingers that begin: “You might be a redneck if…” He’s recorded six comedy albums and hosted the TV quiz show, “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?”

Matt Damon’s $21M Pacific Palisades Home Says ‘Big Time’

In the following video, from the REALTOR.COM YouTube channel, we see Actor Matt Damon’s Zen-inspired residence, which sprawls over 13,508 square feet on 0.58 acres. It’s one of the largest available in its neighborhood. And it’s for sale.

The Academy Award-winning A-lister Matt Damon has listed his posh Pacific Palisades residence for a hefty $21 million. That is certainly a pretty penny, but the property, at 13,508 square feet on 0.58 acres, is one of the largest available in the prestigious Upper Riviera neighborhood of Pacific Palisades.

But size isn’t all that matters. The Zen-inspired residence built in 2004 is also a private and tranquil retreat. The architect, Grant Kirkpatrick of KAA Design Group, used warm woods and natural stone to give the seven-bedroom home an organic feel. The soaring central atrium features 35-foot mahogany vaulted ceilings, which add to the home’s soothingly natural ambiance. Other highlights include a huge, professional-quality gym, a dance studio with ballet bar (currently tricked out as a lounge), and a deluxe wine tasting room with storage for over 1,000 bottles.

The media room, game room, and kitchen are the perfect blend of technology and nature, with state-of-the art equipment surrounded by generous windows that showcase the mature landscaping. The spacious kitchen boasts custom mahogany cabinetry, bluestone countertops, as well as stainless-steel Viking, Wolf, and Miele appliances. A home chef can easily sneak a peek at nature through the clerestory windows and walls of glass. The family bedrooms and the massive main suite are upstairs. Most have leafy green treetop views, even in the bathrooms and closets.

The main suite is relaxing yet lavish, with a private terrace, huge dual dressing room/closets, and a dedicated massage room. A spa-style main bathroom has a large soaking tub and multiperson shower. The grounds are full of lush, tropical plants that benefit from the sea breezes and humidity from the nearby Pacific Ocean.

Mature foliage surrounds the children’s play area, pool, spa, waterfall, and koi pond, and also a Hawaiian-inspired lanai with a covered lounge and an alfresco dining terrace. The estate is perfectly suited to a celebrity of Damon’s stature. It’s private, gated, and feels remote, yet is just minutes away from the new shopping, dining, and entertainment complex known as the The Palisades Village, as well as the prestigious Riviera Country Club. It’s also a quick drive to Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, and the LAX airport.

Damon, 50, has starred in numerous hits, including the “Oceans” trilogy, “The Talented Mr. Ripley,” “Saving Private Ryan,” “Invictus,” and “The Martian.” The last two on that list won him Oscar nominations. He has three films in post-production, “The Last Duel,” “Stillwater,” and “No Sudden Move.”
