Announcing Tomato University

The Real Estate Tomato has built a powerful reputation as a company dedicated to helping their clients maintain a successful online marketing strategy through blogging and social media. Starting today, they are taking that reputation to a new level. After successfully organizing three virtual REBarcamps their new service, the Tomato University, offers Realtors relevant and effective technology training from the best in the business.

The inaugural classes are “A Guide To Superior Hyper-Local Blogging” and “Using Craigslist To Generate Quality Leads“. Over the next several days there are education sessions about SEO, HTML, Facebook pages and photography advice, all providing significant value to today’s real estate agents.

Registration is free and grants you access to the Tomato University social network, allowing you to connect with other University members, register for classes and receive updates on schedules, community info and updates.

Photo’s And Updates

Stephen M. FellsPhoto’s from last week’s San Diego RE Barcamp and the NAR Conference are now on the AgencyLogic Facebook Page. If you haven’t already done so please check out (and even better fan!) the page, it can be found at:

I also wanted to mention that this weeks first national Virtual RE Barcamp was a huge success. The event had 27 sessions running over 9 hours and with more than 1,900 registrations the number of attendees was almost double the target. 71 offices participated with as many as 100 people in some offices. Almost 3,000 tweets were sent during the event and there is now talk of another Virtual RE Barcamp in January.

The event was dedicated to Kevin Warmath who passed away earlier this year. Kevin was an innovator in the real estate industry and developed one of the most successful real estate blogs in the country: Alpharetta Real Estate (LiveInAlpharetta.com). Kevin is survived by his wife Sylvie and their three children; Will, Clara, and Sophie.

In his honor, and in an effort to help the Warmath Children’s College Fund the Virtual RE Barcamp team have organized an easy-to-donate service. We hope you can find it in your hearts to make a small donation, because together we can make a big difference for the Warmath family. You can donate via the Virtual RE Barcamp Website: http://rebarcamp.com/virtual/

I also wanted to thank Jim Cronin and his team who did an amazing job bringing everything together; “Thank you!”

RETomato Blog Talk Radio

Stephen M. FellsI recently wrote about the great people providing free and valuable info for Realtors and here is another example; the RETomato Blog Talk Radio show. Hosted by Jim Cronin and Jason Benesch of the Real Estate Tomato Blog the show covers anything and everything to do with real estate marketing online with a focus on personal training. There is a tremendous amount of information about social media, blogging and technology in general, all hot subjects for the real estate industry.
