RETomato Blog Talk Radio

Stephen M. FellsI recently wrote about the great people providing free and valuable info for Realtors and here is another example; the RETomato Blog Talk Radio show. Hosted by Jim Cronin and Jason Benesch of the Real Estate Tomato Blog the show covers anything and everything to do with real estate marketing online with a focus on personal training. There is a tremendous amount of information about social media, blogging and technology in general, all hot subjects for the real estate industry.

The Greatest Threat to Our Planet is?

There is one feature AgencyLogic clients want more than anything; Walk Score. I’m pleased to announce it is now available and is part of a significant upgrade to our PowerSite single property Website product. Full details of the release will be announced on this blog during the next few days but in the interim let me set the scene in an attempt to explain why, in an ever-greener world, Walk Score provides significant value to potential home buyers:

Walk Score helps people find walkable places to live by calculating the ‘walkability’ of an address. It does this by locating nearby stores, restaurants, schools and parks and measures how easy it is to live a car-lite lifestyle, not how pretty the area is for walking.

What does your Walk Score mean?

Your Walk Score is a number between 0 and 100. Here are general guidelines for interpreting your score:

90–100 = Walkers’ Paradise: Most errands can be accomplished on foot and many people get by without owning a car.
70–89 = Very Walkable: It’s possible to get by without owning a car.
50–69 = Somewhat Walkable: Some stores and amenities are within walking distance, but many everyday trips still require a bike, public transportation, or car.
25–49 = Car-Dependent: Only a few destinations are within easy walking range. For most errands, driving or public transportation is a must.
0–24 = Car-Dependent (Driving Only): Virtually no neighborhood destinations within walking range. You can walk from your house to your car!

Walk Score can now be included in any AgencyLogic single property Website, simply check the menu option for your PowerSite and it will appear:

AgencyLogic has always focused on growth through client requested, value based feature enhancements and Walk Score is another example. As we continue making PowerSites the single richest source of information about one home online we want your thoughts and opinions on how we can make the product even better. Please let us know!
