More than 1,000 real estate professionals attend company’s most powerful—and inspiring—event yet

September 28, 2009—AgencyLogic was proud to have Stephen Fells speak during RISMedia & the Top 5 in Real Estate Network®’s 2009 Leadership Conference, on September 9-10 in New York City.

Stephen was joined by Kim Gifford (Realtor, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage), Prem Luthra (Chief Strategy Officer and Sales Officer, LPS Real Estate Group), Christy May (Realtor, RE/MAX Landmark), Pat Neville (Associate Broker, Prudential Holmes & Kennedy) and Camilla Sullivan (SVP of Marketing, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate) in the powerful and informative session titled, “Measuring Advertising ROI & Allocating Media Spend.” The session was moderated by Scott Dixon, President of the Real Estate Division, Network Communications.

In the midst of a difficult real estate market and struggling economy, approximately 1,000 real estate professionals enthusiastically attended the conference. An impressive showing of Top 5 Members, brokers, economists, leading industry icons and dedicated agents gathered to exchange strategies for surviving today’s market and preparing for prosperity again in the near future.

Held at the Roosevelt Hotel in midtown Manhattan, the Leadership Conference featured nearly 90 expert speakers over the course of 20 educational sessions. The theme of the Conference, “Preparing for Tomorrow…Today” was reflected in the variety of subject matter presented at the conference, such as working with distressed properties, mastering new social media marketing, getting buyers off the fence, and listing and repricing properties.

The Leadership Conference opened with a private luncheon and networking session for members of the Top 5 in Real Estate Network who were in attendance. The standing-room-only event was hosted by: Featherston; RISMedia Executive Vice President and Top 5 CEO & Co-founder, Darryl MacPherson; and Top 5 President & Co-founder Allan Dalton. Top 5 Economist John Tuccillo provided a detailed economic analysis of current market conditions for members and Dalton introduced a new, exclusive marketing program now available to Top 5 Members.

As co-founder and CEO, Stephen is responsible for providing corporate strategic direction, financial management and operational oversight for Network Earth, Inc. and its associated business divisions: AgencyLogic.com, Social Gears, LLC and COYS Group, LLC.
Stephen’s experience includes working for many diverse companies, and his computer background includes more than two decades in banking, Government and law enforcement. Educated in England, Stephen worked in a Manager Trainee position for National Westminster Bank before working as a police officer in Essex, England.

Stephen moved to the Cayman Islands in 1992 where he worked for the Government before making a permanent move to New York in 1994. Initially working for U.S. Trust Bank on their existing database infrastructure and Internet projects, Stephen co-founded Network Earth in 1996.
Responsible for growing the company’s core business of developing world class Web-based software, Stephen also provided technical and managerial oversight for various new and established ventures including ParentWatch, Inc. (now Arrowsight, Inc.) an industry leader in child care Internet based viewing systems. The company has raised $35 million to date.

His combined technical and business skills have given him a distinct vision for growing scalable Web-based businesses that realize the power of Internet marketing.

A regular speaker and presenter, Stephen has been recognized by Inman News as a Real Estate Leader. He is a member of MENSA, a Master SCUBA Diving Instructor with the Professional Association of Diving Instructors, and is an Honorary Member of The New York International Police Association. He is also an Associate Member of The Institute for the Management of Information Systems in London, England, and a member of both The Churchill Center and the Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt Institute. He lives in the Hudson Valley area with his wife Rosalind and their three children – Zoe, Yasmin and Ryan.
