93% of Social Ad Campaigns Are Using Facebook

eMarketer recently released data (May 2011) that shows Facebook is now an established marketing channel for the vast majority of companies with 100 or more employees. 93% have used Faceboook in social ad campaigns and an additional 5% will do in the next twelve months. More importantly Facebook received good marks from people asked to grade their advertising experience; 31% described it as “excellent”, 38% as “good” versus 11% and 25% respectively for Twitter.

Other services used in social marketing campaigns break down as follows:

  • Twitter 78% of the time
  • YouTube 61% of the time and
  • LinkedIn 44% of the time.

Foursquare hasn’t been forgotton with 26% of marketers expecting to use the platform within the next 12 months.
