How To Post Your Single Property Website To Craigslist – Part 1

As many in real estate know Craigslist has stopped allowing almost all HTML tags in their ads. This means no more flyer-style ads with customized, branded and colorful page layouts, embedded images or a menu of hyperlinks. It does mean plain text ads with a maximum of 24 directly uploaded images and a map, for everyone.

This now levels the playing field so agents have to ensure their Craigslist ads are clean, clear and concise if they want to get viewers to their single property Website.

The good news is we have made it simple for you. In the ‘HTML Flyer’ section of the AgencyLogic software (Marketing >> Lighthouse Marketing >> HTML Flyer), you will now find an option for a simple, auto-generated Craigslist ad using only HTML accepted by Craigslist (the fully formatted HTML flyer is still available):

Using three elements from your single property Website (the Website address/URL, the home page introduction and the home page description) together with some of the very few allowable HTML tags, the ads generated work to highlight your single property Website and encourage viewers to visit the site. However, it’s highly recommended that you edit the content of the auto-generated ad to make sure make sure your Craigslist ads are the best they can be.
