Announced at yesterdays Facebook conference, f8, ‘Timeline’ is a collection of a persons top photos, posts and apps that help tell their story. The beta is now live; is it time to short genealogy.com?

Immediately off the back of changes related to the ‘home’ page and newsfeed mechanism this is the single biggest UI change Facebook has released. Although in beta (and requiring very specific, somewhat technical implementation) several people on my own friend list have updated their profile. RPR’s Reggie Nicolay is one and I have to say I love what he has done:

Earlier this week we detailed “The Latest Facebook Changes Explained” and the post was viewed and shared heavily. Almost everyone complained about the changes and that was before yesterdays announcement. People don’t like change, especially with Facebook, so now they really have something to moan about 🙂
