I have an apology and a confession:

The confession: I’ve never understood the value of floor plans. Over the years I’ve seen many businesses come and go and all they provide is floor plans. Some are even trying to compete as a single property Website by adding a unique domain. Good luck with that…

Some of the technology is great and 3D movies are nothing new but I still think we struggle to truly comprehend 3D without the aid of those dumb glasses. And then there’s the cost. Many outsource all of the work (how else do you think they can turn stuff around in 24 hours?) and yet still charge exorbitant fees. But there’s an answer: floor plan ink stamps! They are cheap, reusable and provide the same value as their expensive competitors (nifty.com – I hope you speak Japanese…) 🙂

One last thought; I really hope no one is working on fully immersive, Avatar quality, 3D listing software…
