If you ever have the need to see an old version of a Website the Wayback Machine Website is an extremely useful tool.
The Website allows you to ‘browse through over 150 billion web pages archived from 1996 to a few months ago’ and is a great resource for seeing not only your own Website but also any other Website. Sometimes graphics and database functionality are either missing or don’t work but there’s some fascinating information out there.
I checked old versions of Realtor.com which, as at today, boasts of over 4 million listings but that wasn’t always the case. In October 1997 it had just over 1 million listings (“and counting” whatever that means), three years later the number was up to 1.3 million and on another three years (October 2003) was at a lofty 2 million.
