Samantha’s Weekly Tip – How To Get Your Single Property Website On 10 Of The Top Real Estate Search Engines

So you’ve built an AgencyLogic single property Website. Now, you’re probably wondering how people are going to find it. Of course, we offer sign riders, text-messaging and other options for promoting your site. But today, more than 90% of homebuyers start their property search with a Web search. When they do, you want them to find your site. Follow these steps to syndicate your new site to 10 of the top real estate search engines, including Trulia, Zillow and Google. (And yes, it’s free!)

There’s nothing easier than syndicating your new single property Website to search engines – because we do it for you. You just have to give us permission by putting checkmarks in the boxes next to the search engine logos during the initial building of the site, and we’ll ask those search engines to index your site.

Not sure if you checked all the boxes? It’s never too late!

  • Log in to your AgencyLogic account and select the PowerSite you want to syndicate
  • Click on the “Marketing” tab
  • Select the first option, “Lighthouse Marketing”
  • Select search engines by clicking the check boxes next to their logos (see below). Then click “Save” in the upper right-hand corner

If you always want some or all search engines to index every new site you build, you can easily set your account so that it automatically syndicates new sites to your chosen search engines. Here’s how:

  • Log in to your AgencyLogic account. On the main admin panel, click on the tools link at the top of the page
  • Select “Lighthouse Settings” from the drop-down menu
  • Select search engines by clicking the check box next to their logos. Then click “Save” in the upper right-hand corner

There are a few things you should know about syndicating your PowerSite to search engines.

  • It’s free
  • You shouldn’t be alarmed if your new PowerSite doesn’t appear in search results immediately. While your PowerSite is visible to you within about 15 minutes after publishing, it may take up to a week for Google and other search engines to index your site
  • Syndicating your new PowerSite to search engines doesn’t ensure that every search engine will accept it, or that it will be first on a list of search results. Stay tuned for tips on improving your chances of having your PowerSite seen
