Important AgencyLogic Network Upgrade Notification

As previously posted we are upgrading our network.

Please note the upgrade takes place starting Tomorrow, April 29th at 12:00 noon EST / 9:00 AM PST.

We will be working to ensure any downtime is kept to an absolute minimum but during the upgrade the AgencyLogic software will be offline. We expect the upgrade to take several hours. Thank you in advance for your patience.

Why are we doing this?

We are upgrading our hardware (servers), underlying infrastructure and software. This allows us to improve performance and security. We also need to do this to roll out new features.

Please note:

Unpublished Websites:

If you have unpublished Websites and they are more than six (6) months old they will be deleted. If you wish to keep sites that are more than six months old please publish them immediately. Failure to do so will result in your content being deleted. If you need assistance publishing any Website please call us at (888) 201-5160 extension 1 or email support@agencylogic.com.

Expired Websites:

If you have expired Websites and they are more than eighteen (18) months old they will be deleted. If you wish to keep sites that are more than 18 months old please publish them immediately. Failure to do so will result in your content being deleted. If you need assistance publishing any Website please call us at (888) 201-5160 extension 1 or email support@agencylogic.com. Normal renewal fees apply.

NOTE: After reactivation, your Websites do not need to be ‘live’. They can be set to ‘offline’ until you need them again. Our ‘offline’ status removes the site’s content from public view until you are officially ready to go live.

Voice Recognition Software – A Scottish Perspective

Stephen M. FellsAn accent is a wonderful thing, sometimes. My own English accent has always been the first thing people comment upon this side of the pond and most are very complimentary.

But there is a dark side to having an accent. When it comes to voice recognition software the world is run by computers and they prefer what I call “Microsoft English”. I’ll never do it publicly but I regularly resort to pronouncing words with an American accent. It’s why the following comedy sketch really made me laugh. I not only understand the comedians frustration, I feel it 🙂
