Creative Houses From Reclaimed Stuff

We’ve covered TED.com videos several times before; each video features one of the world’s most fascinating thinkers and doers, who are challenged to give the talk of their lives (in 18 minutes).

In this funny and insightful talk from TEDxHouston, builder Dan Phillips tours us through a dozen homes he’s built in Texas using recycled and reclaimed materials in wildly creative ways. Brilliant, low-tech design details will refresh your own creative drive.

Tax Credit Hangover

The Austin real estate market benefited from a surge of buyers taking advantage of the $8,000 Tax Credit. Now that the tax credit is behind us, the market is experiencing a hangover, a Tax Credit Hangover. But it’s not all bad, especially if you are part of the amazing West Austin Properties Team 🙂

We’ve highlighted their marketing creativity before and look to Laura, Patrick and Katy for insight on technology adoption within the real estate industry. The company has been around for five decades spanning three generations, something they have achieved by leveraging their technical awareness and a genuine love for the business. As regular speakers they exemplify everything the industry and home owners need; personally I feel very lucky to know them.

To see an example of their creativity check out the following video. You can see more at their blog: www.westaustinmarketplace.com

Enjoy 🙂
